Now new: rezemo Coffee Edition 5

Our new rezemo coffee Edition 5 is here – what makes it so special

In May we already released our second espresso, Edition 4. Now we are expanding our range to include a second Lungo. Similar to Edition 4, with our new coffee Edition 5 we want to offer a more intense alternative to our existing coffee Edition 2. We will explain to you what makes our new Lungo special in this blog post.

Taste and characteristics of our new Edition 5

The special selection of 100% finest Arabica beans produces our strong coffee Edition 5. The harmonious profile is refined by a fruity cocoa note and a full body. The beautiful crema rounds off the taste experience of this intense and aromatic coffee. With its intensity of 4 out of 5, it is perfect for coffee lovers who like to enjoy a strong lungo. Here, it is recommended to drink the coffee black to experience its full intensity. But it is also perfect for preparation with a dash of milk or a plant-based milk alternative - as you may know, we in the rezemo team love oat milk. A little insider tip from the team: The aromas of our new coffee also come out excellently as an espresso or even as a very strong ristretto!

The coffee beans for our new Edition 5

Our new coffee consists of 100% Arabica beans from the highlands of Colombia and Honduras. To ensure the high quality of our raw beans, they are harvested exclusively by hand with great care. The Arabica coffee beans come from the Colombian and Honduran highlands between 1,200 and 1,820 meters and are processed wet ("washed").

In Honduras, the coffee cherries ripen at an average annual temperature of 22 °C and are harvested between December and March. The coffee beans are then peeled and fermented for around 12-18 hours, depending on the temperature. Honduras borders the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean on the north coast. In the south, the Honduran mainland meets the Gulf of Fonseca. This results in a climate that varies from tropical in the lowlands to temperate in the mountains. The Honduran territory consists mainly of mountains. The Central American country therefore has all the climatic, geological and cultural resources to produce great coffee specialties.

In Colombia, the select coffee plants and their fruits grow at an average temperature of 18 °C. The coffee cherries are mainly harvested from April to August. The beans are then shelled and fermented for around 18 hours. As one of the largest coffee producers in the world, Colombia is very proud of the variety of coffee varieties available in its regions. The country is located in the north of South America and is characterized by rainforests and the Andes. This provides optimal conditions for a large number of cocoa and coffee plantations.

What was important to us when developing our new Lungo

From intensive discussions and the great feedback from our customers, we know that our coffee Edition 2 is already very popular. In general, our customers really enjoy drinking Edition 2 - but in line with our core values, we want to constantly develop further. Following this conviction, we are now also accommodating those customers who want a slightly stronger Lungo in our sustainable coffee capsules.
We therefore incorporate the different taste preferences of our customers into our daily work. In this way, we want to turn even more coffee lovers into sustainable coffee connoisseurs in the future. Our coffee Edition 2, with its intensity of 3 out of 5, is in the medium-strong segment of our coffee varieties. With our new Edition 5, we now want to show what characterizes a strong Lungo of intensity level 4 for us at rezemo. In addition, with this new edition we would like to offer a variant for the "black drinkers" among us. We also always test our coffee blends in different variants: in addition to espresso, ristretto and coffee, also as cappuccino and latte macchiato and with milk alternatives such as oat or almond drink. The result of this intensive test phase is our new coffee Edition 5.

Now there is only one thing left: try it!
